Texans CJ Stroud a full participant in practice ahead of game v. Colts

This week, the Indianapolis Colts face the Texans, and Houston quarterback CJ Stroud was listed as a full participant on the Wednesday injury report.

Stroud suffered a concussion in Week 9 against the Denver Broncos and has been sidelined for the last three games.

This is the first practice since the injury that Stroud has been a full participant. Stroud is still in concussion protocol at this time, according to ESPN’s DJ Bien-Aime.

Without Stroud, Davis Mills has started at quarterback for the Texans, and Houston has won their last three games.

With the Texans now at 6-5 on the season, they are just two games behind the 8-3 Colts in the AFC South race. Sunday’s game is a big one for Indianapolis when it comes to maintaining their grip on the division lead.

In eight games this season, Stroud has completed 67% of his passes for 1,702 yards with 11 touchdowns to five interceptions.

Overall, the Houston offense has struggled to put up points at times, but the Texans boast one of the stingiest defenses in football, with a very formidable pass rush.

As ESPN NFL analyst Ben Solak detailed recently, the pressure on Jones in recent weeks has been a big contributor to the up-and-down play from the Colts’ passing game.

To see who has the advantage and where that advantage may lie in Sunday’s game between the Colts and Texans, you can find that here.
