'The Dark Knight returns.' NFL, Bengals celebrate Joe Burrow's return

The Cincinnati Bengals officially activated starting quarterback Joe Burrow to the roster Nov. 26 from the reserve/injured list.

The Bengals’ starting quarterback is expected to start Thanksgiving night against the Ravens in Baltimore, playing for the first time since suffering a turf-toe injury during a Week 2 win against Jacksonville.

The NFL’s Twitter/X account and the Bengals’ account celebrated the news.

Burrow told reporters Nov. 25 that it’s important to him to play when he’s healthy, regardless of how people feel about his importance to the team as its franchise quarterback and the risk of re-injury.

Burrow also acknowledged that the Bengals “pretty much have to win every game” in order to make the NFL playoffs, and discussed how much he’s learned from teammate Joe Flacco over the past few weeks.
