A 22-year-old Gainesville man died Nov. 26 following a motorcycle crash in the Celebration Pointe development just west of Interstate 75 in Gainesville, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Nov. 26 at 1:05 p.m.
Where did the crash happen?
Southbound 45th Street, just south of Southwest 36th Road.
The FHP report
According to the the FHP report, the 22-year-old Gainesville man was riding a Kawaski motorcycle south on Southwest 45th Street when he failed to negotiate a curve and entered the median. The motorcycle ran over “several planted shrubbery” before hitting a light pole. The man was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The investigation is ongoing.
