BREWSTER ‐ Longtime Fairless Local Schools’ board member Jody Seward resigned from her post effective Nov. 20.
The Board of Education will meet Nov. 26 to discuss candidates who applied to fill Seward’s unexpired term, which ends Dec. 31. The board has 30 days from his resignation to appointment a successor, Superintendent Mike Hearn said.
Seward has served on the board for nearly 30 years.
In an email to the board president and Hearn, Seward cited personal reasons for his departure.
“Serving on the board has been a tremendous honor and deeply gratifying,” Seward wrote. “I am confident that our talented leadership team will carry the district forward with excellence.”
Board officials thanked Seward for his many years of service to the district and community.
“He is going to be missed, there is no doubt about that,” Hearn said.
