Funeral services set for Estine Davis, pioneering El Paso businesswoman

Services for Estine Davis, a trailblazing El Paso businesswoman and owner of Estine’s Barbershop, will be held Dec. 4-5. Davis died Nov. 10 at the age of 92.

Davis was the owner of Estine Eastside Barber Shop for decades and the founder of Estine Fashion Models and the Miss Black El Paso Pageant.

Visitation will be from 4-8:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 3400 Wyoming Ave. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Funeral service will be 9:30 a.m. Dec. 5 at Mount Zion, followed by internment at 12:30 p.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 4848 Alps Drive.

In place of flowers, contributions may be made to Eastside Central Coalition on behalf of Ms. Estine Black Business Living Museum. Donations may be made online or sent to 106 N. Piedras St, El Paso, Texas 79905.
