The Florida Gators played just one game this week on the college basketball court — a blowout home victory over the Merrimack Warriors to improve their record to 4-1 early on in the 2025-26 campaign.
Todd Golden’s frontcourt still looks like the best in the country, while the team’s two transfer guards, Xavian Lee and Boogie Flanders, still look to figure things out from beyond the 3-point line. Nonetheless, the Orange and Blue continue to beat the teams it should ahead of a challenging schedule just around the corner.
With just one win against a very overmatched opponent, it should come as no surprise that Florida remained ranked 10th in this week’s AP Top 25. The BYU Cougars still bookend them in the No. 9 spot, while the Michigan State Spartans jumped up six spots to take the No. 11 position.
