Jaguars' highest and lowest graded players in win vs. Cardinals

Following the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Week 12 win over the Arizona Cardinals, let’s take a look at which players received the highest grades from Pro Football Focus and which players didn’t.

Below is a look at PFF’s grading system for some context. While this metric is very helpful when it comes to quantifying a player’s performance, PFF’s grading system isn’t the be-all and end-all either. It is one metric out of many that are out there.

Strange, Washington, and Meyers led the way in receiving for the Jaguars. The trio helped generate explosive plays in the passing game, with receptions of 30 yards, 25 yards, and 17 yards. Washington and Meyers each found the end zone, while Strange was a key contributor in the run game as well.

Van Lanen and Cleveland would combine to surrender just two quarterback pressures on the day. Both players had above-average run-blocking grades as well.

Jones held opponents to under 10 yards per catch and also had a pass breakup while grading out very well against the run. In 23 coverage snaps, Lane wasn’t targeted once.

Hines-Allen had another huge day, logging 11 quarterback pressures. Wingard and Oluokun combined for 21 tackles and were stingy in coverage, allowing 4.2 yards per catch and 7.6 yards per catch, respectively.

In 13 pass rush snaps, Green recorded one pressure, but what really brought his grade down was that he was credited with a missed tackle on his one attempt. Morris, meanwhile, did not grade out well in pass pro, although he had only four snaps. Patrick was 0-for-4 when targeted, which lowered his overall grade.
