Here are the social media reactions to Texas A&M's 48-0 win vs Samford

Saturday’s game went about as expected, with Texas A&M securing a 48-0 home win over Samford. The Aggies were in complete control from start to finish, aside from a few errors, and otherwise had the perfect day for what this was.

The starters didn’t last long, with most of them being taken out midway through the second quarter. Marcel Reed’s day ended with 10 minutes left in the first half, where he went 10-of-15 for 130 yards, no interceptions, and three touchdowns. Ashton Bethel-Roman also had an incredibly efficient day, scoring two touchdowns on two receptions for 62 yards.

Amari Daniels led all the running backs with 106 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. True freshman running backs Jamarion Morrow and Tiger Riden Jr. handled the load for most of the game, combining for 20 carries for 97 yards and a touchdown.

There is still one glaring issue with this team, and that’s special teams. Leaving out Izaiah Williams’ muffed punt simply because he is not the primary returner, there were just far too many mistakes. The punting was fine, but there is a massive drop-off when it comes to field goal kicking.

It’s going to be hard for the remaining games this season to trust either kicker to win a game by hitting a clutch field goal or even making a routine kick. Jared Zirkel took over the kicking duties and went 2-for-3 but missed an attempt under 40 yards.

Overall, it was a good day, and outside of the kicking, there wasn’t much to complain about. A&M handled business, got out of the weekend healthy, and can now focus on getting ready to play the Texas Longhorns to secure their first SEC title trip in program history.
