11 restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day to enjoy a holiday feast in El Paso

If you’re looking to sit back and enjoy a Thanksgiving feast in El Paso, several restaurants are open on the holiday.

Thanksgiving is Thursday, Nov. 27, and restaurants across the borderland have revealed festive menus — from scrumptious brunches featuring sweet waffles with maple syrup to flavorful fine dining, including organic turkey breast topped with herbed gravy and butter-whipped potatoes.

Here are 11 restaurants open on Thanksgiving Day in El Paso.

Café Central

Café Central has designed a vast holiday menu for Thanksgiving 2025, with several appetizers, soup and salads, and desserts to choose from.

The main course is your choice of traditional turkey, Chilean seabass, or Angus tenderloin. Holiday hours are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 27.

Sabor

Sabor, located on the first floor of the Paso Del Norte Hotel, is offering a Thanksgiving Day buffet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the extensive menu includes breakfast items such as huevos rancheros, pozole, and chilaquiles. If you’re in the mood for lunch or dinner, the restaurant is also serving sweet glazed ham and turkey at its carving station.

Sides include mashed potatoes, chorizo stuffing, green beans and more.

The buffet costs $59 per guest, and reservations can be made through OpenTable.

Cattleman’s Steakhouse

Celebrate Thanksgiving by taking a short drive from El Paso to Cattleman’s Steakhouse, located at 3450 South Fabens Carlsbad Road in Fabens, Texas.

The popular spot will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and serve its traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The restaurant does not take reservations, according to its website.

Cracker Barrel

Cracker Barrel is open regular hours on Thanksgiving Day, with its holiday meal starting at 11 a.m., and you can use Cracker Barrel’s online waitlist for a shorter wait time on the holiday.

There are two locations in El Paso: 7540 Remcon Circle and 13381 Gateway West Blvd.

Ruth Chris Steakhouse

In addition to its regular menu, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse is offering a three-course Thanksgiving feast starting at $48 for adults and $20 for children.

The restaurant is located at the Fountains at Farah, 8889 Gateway Blvd. Reservations can be made online.

Ambar

Enjoy a festive brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving at Ambar, the restaurant inside the lobby level of The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park.

You can enjoy traditional favorites with a bold seasonal twist, from made-to-order omelets and pumpkin-spiced pancakes to mole-crusted prime rib and tequila-glazed turkey.

Saltgrass

Saltgrass, located at 5030 North Desert Blvd., is offering a Thanksgiving Day dinner for $23.99, featuring turkey breast, dressing, garlic mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and more.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27.

1700° Steakhouse

The restaurant inside the Paso Del Norte Hotel is offering an à la carte Thanksgiving Dinner. Reservations can be made on OpenTable.

Taft Diaz

Taft Diaz, located at 209 Stanton Street, is offering an elegant Thanksgiving dinner from 4 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 27.

The cost is $55 for adults and $35 for children. Menu items include roasted turkey, mac and cheese, butter whipped potatoes, and an apple or pumpkin tart for dessert.

Kona Grill

The restaurant will offer a specially curated menu featuring turkey alongside steaks, sides, and desserts from Thursday, Nov. 27, through Sunday, Nov. 30.

Menu items include Macadamia Nut Turkey or Traditional Roasted Turkey, alongside seasonal cocktails such as the Pumpkin Spice Margarita and Pumpkin Mocha Martini.

Kona Grill is at the Fountains at Farah, 8889 Gateway Blvd W. #1740.

Landry’s

If you would like to savor some seafood on Thanksgiving, Landry’s is serving up lobster, in addition to other gulf coast favorites on Nov. 27.

The restaurant is located at 6801 Gateway Boulevard West, and while reservations are not required, they are strongly encouraged.
