Roger McCreary’s first defensive snap leads to incompletion
The Rams traded for McCreary before the deadline and he finally got on the field on defense Sunday night for the first time. He blitzed off the edge and flushed Mayfield out of the pocket, forcing an incompletion and a punt to thwart the Bucs’ opening drive.
Cobie Durant saves TD with clutch pass breakup
Baker Mayfield took a shot deep on the Bucs’ opening drive, targeting Emeka Egbuka 45 yards downfield in the end zone. It looked like it was going to be a touchdown but Durant had other plans, breaking up the pass with a leaping deflection.
Special cleats being worn tonight

Rams vs. Buccaneers predictions
Rams 31, Buccaneers 23: The Rams have looked like the best team in the NFL in recent weeks, beating four opponents in a row by double digits before sneaking past the talented Seahawks, 21-19, in Week 11. They’re a complete team with an outstanding quarterback who’s leading the MVP race and a defense that ranks second in points allowed.
Not many teams are as well-rounded as the Rams, and the Bucs certainly aren’t with all their injuries on offense and deficiencies on defense. Los Angeles will take advantage of catching the Bucs on a downward trajectory and win at home to improve to 9-2.
It’s an opportunity for the Rams to show everyone just how good they are in a prime-time setting against one of the NFC’s top teams.
