After completing the largest comeback in Texas A&M football history against South Carolina, defeating the Gamecocks 31-30 behind starting quarterback Marcel Reed’s career high 439 passing yards, including 298 yards and three touchdowns in the second half. Defensively, the Aggies shut down QB LaNorris Sellers and South Carolina’s offense to a mere 76 yards and zero points after halftime.
This week, No. 3 Texas A&M (10-0, 7-0 SEC) hosts Samford (1-10) out of the FCS, and on paper, the Aggies are nearly 55-point favorites and could easily score 50-plus points for the first time this season, facing a Bulldogs defense that allows over 430 yards per game.
Senior edge Cashius Howell, who leads the country with 11.5 sacks on the year, could replicate his three-sack performance against Utah State, but will likely only play in the first half if the Aggies jump out to a significant lead. This game, which will also serve as Senior Day for 30-plus seniors on the roster, comes at the perfect time before Texas A&M heads to Austin to face the Texas Longhorns on Black Friday.
Focusing on Senior Day, Texas A&M’s latest pre-game trailer is narrated by senior left tackle Trey Zuhn III, who is currently the highest-rated pass protector in the country and will depart for the NFL Draft at the end of the Aggies’ 2025 season.
In addition to Zuhn, Texas A&M’s veteran offensive line features senior right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams and senior tackles Dametreous Crownover and Reuben Fatheree, all of whom have bright NFL futures ahead of them. Enjoy the trailer, and make sure to tune in for the early 11:00 a.m. kickoff, which will stream on SEC Network+.
