Growth in the Lansing region isn’t just measured in new buildings or jobs, it’s measured in stronger neighborhoods, better healthcare, and opportunities that lift the entire community.
Each year, the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Celebration of Regional Growth Awards (CORG) honor organizations whose leadership and investment are shaping our region’s future. Since its inception, CORG has recognized more than 90 businesses that have collectively invested over $5 billion in the regional economy. These investments reflect a shared commitment to innovation, opportunity, and collaboration which are the cornerstones of Greater Lansing’s success.
This year’s honorees showcase that spirit in action. Tailgaters has grown from a small donut shop into one of Greater Lansing’s premier convenience destinations. By combining local roots with national favorites like Dunkin’ and Sunoco, Tailgaters continues to expand, creating jobs and supporting communities.
McLaren Greater Lansing is being recognized for McLaren Grand Ledge, its new Ambulatory ER in Delta Township. This facility expands access to quality healthcare and strengthens the region’s medical infrastructure by bringing innovative services closer to home.
Ionetix Corporation demonstrates how local innovation can have global impact. Its advanced medical technologies improve cancer diagnostics and treatment, create high-tech jobs in Lansing, and reinforce the region’s growing reputation as a hub for medical research and development.
At Michigan State University, the new Student Recreation and Wellness Center reflects a forward-thinking investment in student health and sustainability. The facility provides modern recreation spaces, promotes well-being, and sets a model for future campus development.
And Strikeout Baseball, championed by Lansing native and Major League Baseball Hall of Famer John Smoltz, is reimagining youth sports. Its inclusive, accessible programs make the game fun for a new generation while fostering stronger connections across Lansing neighborhoods.
These organizations are investing not only in buildings and programs but also in people, opportunities and the promise of a strong, more connected region. Their investments and leadership complement significant development across the region, especially in Downtown Lansing, where public-private partnerships are driving new residential, entertainment, and hospitality projects that strengthen our urban core.
With a wealth of regional assets and a shared commitment to innovation and community, Lansing is building a future where families flourish, companies thrive, and our region continues to grow—together.
