A Dalhart woman was killed early Tuesday morning in a single-vehicle crash along Ranch to Market Road 1061 north of Amarillo, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers said the crash occurred around 5:29 a.m. Nov. 4, when a 2018 Dodge Ram 700, driven by 47-year-old Hilda Lourdes Gonzalez Terrazas, was traveling southbound on RM 1061 in the Bishop Hills neighborhood. For reasons still under investigation, the pickup skidded across the northbound lane, left the roadway and overturned into a brick fence.
Gonzalez Terrazas, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries she sustained in the crash. No other vehicles or passengers were involved.
Conditions were clear and the roadway dry, with a posted speed limit of 60 mph.The Texas Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
