Jordan Phillips is on his fourth tenure with the Buffalo Bills and that could begin in Week 4.
Ahead of facing the New Orleans Saints (0-3) on Sunday at Highmark Stadium, the Bills (3-0) called Phillips up from the practice squad.
The team announced the transaction on Saturday:
There is still a chance Phillips, 33, is not active on game day. However, it would make little sense for the Bills to waste one of Phillips’ elevations and not put him in the lineup.
Phillips will join DaQuan Jones along with rookies Deone Walker and TJ Sanders at defensive tackle against the Saints. Buffalo will be without Ed Oliver (ankle) for the third-straight game as he has already been ruled out.
Phillips has played 61 games in his career with the Bills. In 2019, Phillips notched a team-high 9.5 sacks for Buffalo.
