The Florida State Seminoles lost to the Virginia Cavaliers 46-38 on Friday night at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was their first loss of the season, and they are now 3-1 on the season.
It was a disappointing performance from the Seminoles, who struggled out of the gate and made mistakes throughout the game. While head coach Mike Norvell was happy with how his team started, they couldn’t overcome the early mistakes.
“They made the plays that were necessary throughout the course of the game,” he said after the game. “They started fast, took advantage of some of the mistakes we had early, turned the ball over, had some big penalties that set us behind the chains. It just did not get off to the start that we needed to have.”
“For us, we’ve got to focus on the things that we can control and go out there and start better. I’m pleased with the response. I saw from our guys, but obviously, it wasn’t enough there at the end,” he added.
While the team did struggle, some players did make some good plays and deserve recognition. With FSU playing 46 total players, here are the 10 who finished with the highest grade, according to PFF.
10. DL Darrell Jackson Jr.
9. S Ashlynd Barker
