Riviera Beach investigating death of man, 61, found dead in home

RIVIERA BEACH − Police in Riviera Beach are conducting a homicide investigation after a man was found dead in his home on the morning of Aug. 21.

According to a police statement, officers responded at about 9 a.m. to a call at a residence on the 1000 block of West 26th Court, near West Blue Heron Boulevard and President Barack Obama Highway. Upon arriving, the officers found 61-year-old Lorenzo Pugh dead inside. Investigators classified Pugh’s death as a homicide, but did not indicate a motive or specify how he was killed.

There have been no arrests. However, investigators say there is no threat to the community.
