The Bethune-Cookman University Concert Chorale will make its 30th annual performance Sunday, Aug. 24, at Palm Coast United Methodist Church, and the singers will bring with them some other contributors.
The guest preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Albert Mosley, the 8th president of B-CU. Mosley, a member of the United Methodist Church, has advanced degrees from the divinity schools at Duke University and Yale University.
He earned doctorate degrees in higher education administration at the University of Georgia and divinity at Liberia Baptist Theological Seminary in Africa.
In addition to his career in academia, Mosley served as a pastor in Mississippi, as well as university chaplain at The Johns Hopkins University.
Mosley will be preaching at both 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m,, when the chorale will also be performing.
“Their inspiring music fills our sanctuary with joy and harmony, and we look forward to sharing in this cherished tradition once again,” according to a news release from the church.
The B-CU football team will join the 10:30 a.m. worship. The Palm Coast UMC is encouraging people to wear their favorite collegiate shirt or football jersey for “a spirited day of worship and fellowship.”
