LANSING – A 10-year-old child was transported to a local hospital after being struck by an SUV Friday afternoon, according to police.
Police responded to the crash in the 2300 block of South Cedar Street at approximately 4 p.m., Lansing Police Sgt. Trevor Allman said.

The child was crossing the street when they were hit by a person driving a grey Ford Escape, he said. The child was in stable condition when they were transported to a local hospital, he added.
No one has been arrested or charged in connection with the incident and police are investigating the crash, Allman said.
