Michigan basketball gets first commitment in 2026 from 7-foot-3 big man Marcus Möller

When it comes to assembling teams for the future, Michigan basketball head coach Dusty May never sleeps, apparently.

Now that 2025 is in the rearview, with an impressive high school recruiting class as well as transfer portal haul, May has officially started on 2026. And given his penchant for having big men in the middle, this latest commitment should pay dividends in the future.

According to multiple reports, May has garnered a commitment from 2026 Unicaja Malaga (Denmark) center Marcus Möller, a 7-foot-3 big man with a ton of upside.

Via On3’s Joe Tipton:

Marcus Möller, a 7-foot-3 center from Denmark, has committed to Michigan. The 18-year-old big man played for Unicaja Baloncesto in the Spanish Tercera FEB during the 2024-25 season. It’s a professional basketball club based in Spain.

Möller participated with Denmark in the FIBA U18 EuroBasket in 2024, where he averaged 13.1 points and 7.4 rebounds.

Möller is the first in the fold of the 2026 class.

May has brought in multiple overseas players in his short tenure in Ann Arbor, including Oscar Goodman, Malick Kordel, and now Möller. If he’s anything like Vlad Goldin (who did play high school ball in Connecticut), it will be huge for the Wolverines.

Möller is currently unranked by the recruiting services.
