Amazon Prime Day is almost here for Michigan shoppers, which may have you thinking about springing for a Prime membership if you haven’t already.
The annual sale, which is only available to Amazon Prime members, Prime Day will last from July 8-11. Besides access, to the sale, a membership comes with other Amazon Music, Amazon Photos and Prime Video.
Prime Video is one the company’s most popular perks, offering access to both original shows and favorites, and for an additional fee you can add channel for certain specialty interests to your Prime Video subscription or buy movies and television shows. On Prime Day, there will be discounts on channel as well as buying videos and shows.

Do I need an Amazon Prime membership to use Prime Video?
No, you do not need an Amazon Prime membership to access Prime Video. You can subscribe to Prime Video as a standalone service. However, an Amazon Prime membership includes Prime Video along with numerous other benefits, such as free shipping and Amazon Music, which might make it a more valuable option for you.

On Prime Day 2025 what streaming deal can I find?
During Amazon Prime Day and during early access sales, Amazon said they will have deal on subscription channels, offering “select add-on subscriptions on Prime Video for $0.99 per month for up to two months.”
Not all deals will be at $0.99 price point. For example, Amazon is currently running a deal on the subscription channel Fandor of $2.99 for the first three months, regularly prices at $3.99.
