For the first time since signing Caitlin Clark last April, Nike is releasing her very own version of one of its most popular basketball models.
The popular sportswear company unveiled pictures of the Kobe V Protro ‘Caitlin Clark’ earlier this month, along with the sneaker’s release date. The low-top silhouette’s colorway is similar to the home jerseys the Indiana Fever often wear, featuring a navy upper, a crimson tongue and hints of gold throughout.
Clark first debuted the shoes during warmups of a Fever game last September.
Kobe Bryant’s signature shoes have become synonymous with the former Iowa women’s basketball star’s career, and she has even received custom versions dedicated to winning Rookie of the Year and her childhood dog, Bella.
Clark is rarely not seen wearing a pair of Kobe’s when she steps on the court, and will likely continue to lace them up until her own signature shoe with Nike is released.
Where to buy Caitlin Clark’s Kobe V Protro
The shoes release Monday, June 30 at 9 a.m. CT on the Nike SNKRS app and select retailers for $190.
Dick’s Sporting Goods, which has three locations across Iowa and one in West Des Moines, announced it will also be carrying the shoes. Fans will need to enter using Dick’s Sporting Goods app for a chance to purchase the shoes.
Select Foot Locker stores will also carry the shoes with an in-app raffle required.
