Lansing Pride festival organizers say this year’s event is not just a celebration, but a call to action as supporters continue fighting for a world in which people can live free and “authentically.”
“Pride Month is not only about joy and visibility: it is a call to action. We must stand united to protect those most vulnerable, and we must never stop fighting for a world where everyone can live freely and authentically,” festival organizers said in a Facebook post.
From 1-10 p.m. on June 28, the free festival takes place in Old Town Lansing, on the city’s north side. It will include music and other attractions. Once the event is over, for those 21 and older, the celebration may continue at the “Official Afterparty,” from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Copper Moon (formerly Club Spiral), 1247 Center St.
“Spread the word, invite your friends, and let’s make Lansing Pride 2025 the biggest and brightest celebration yet! See you there! #LansingPride2024 #LoveIsLove,” organizers said. “We will keep the energy going with music, dancing, performances and drinks as we come together to wrap up an unforgettable day!”
There is a $10 charge for the afterparty.
To start the weekend, Lansing Pride is hosting a “White Party” from 8 p.m. to midnight Friday June 27, in Old Town Lansing, with participants moving from location to location and dressing in the color theme of the night. There is a $10 fee to participate.
Lansing Pride formed in 2021 to dedicate resources and support specifically for the annual pride festival that had been hosted in the city since 1989, the group said on its website. Pride also hosts a variety of LGBTQIA+ events throughout the year.

Yes, there is a “free to bee family zone” for families with children from 1-5 p.m., located at Copper Moon.
“Lansing Pride’s annual festival features a dedicated children’s area, FREE of charge! We provide a safe and inclusive space where families can celebrate together,” the festival said.
There will be activities, such as, drag queen story time, bounce house, zap zone, face painting, chalk art and more.
“By fostering LGBTQ+ visibility, the children’s area helps normalize inclusion and empowers kids to embrace and celebrate differences within their communities,” the festival added.
