On April 16, 2025, the St. Clair County Commission held a Town Hall meeting to discuss the controversial issue of solar industrial projects. Many residents spoke about their health, public safety and environmental concerns with these projects. A proposed ordinance by the Health Department was also the topic of discussion which was ultimately passed.
