Wichita Falls added to its overflowing rain bucket.
The city officially got 2.44 inches of precipitation as thunderstorms rolled through the area Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.
That put Wichita falls nearly 10 inches ahead of normal rainfall for this time of year. The area will have a slight chance of more storms on Wednesday.
The city of Wichita Falls has ceased issuing weekly combined lake level reports because a lingering drought has ended.
The Water Data for Texas website indicated that lakes Arrowhead, Kemp and Kickapoo were at 100% of capacity Monday morning.
Summer officially starts Friday, and the North Texas forecast is right in lockstep with the season.
The NWS predicts daytime high temperatures in the upper 90s through the coming week with a heat index of 107 on Tuesday.
