Exciting New Location for the Annual One-Day Community Resource Fair

By St. Clair County Health Department

On May 14, 2025, the Housing & Support Services Workgroup, under the St. Clair County Community Services Coordinating Body (CSCB), will host its highly anticipated annual Community Resource Fair. This year’s event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at a new venue: The St. Clair County Community College (SC4) Fieldhouse (next to McMorran Place), located at 400 Erie Street in Port Huron.

The Community Resource Fair is a one-day, one-stop event designed to connect individuals facing challenges such as homelessness, housing insecurity, unemployment, food insecurity, financial hardship, and medical or mental health conditions with vital community resources. By gathering a wide range of organizations in one location, the fair eliminates barriers to support, providing attendees with easy access to referrals, networking opportunities, and a collaborative approach to addressing their needs. This year’s fair will feature a mobile food pantry, personal-care items, giveaways, and a variety of community resource vendors.

“We are thrilled to host the Community Resource Fair at SC4 once again,” said Wesley Whetstone, Assistant Dean of Wellness and Student Activities at St. Clair County Community College. “Moving the event to the fieldhouse enables us to welcome even more participants and vendors, helping us make more meaningful connections between the community and the resources that can provide lasting solutions.”

The success of this event depends on the involvement of the community at all levels. We offer a variety of vendor and volunteer opportunities, and we rely on generous financial support from our local partners to provide activities, giveaways, and services at no cost to attendees.
