The NFL’s Monday Night Football matchup, for the second week in a row, will feature the next opponent for the Detroit Lions.
The Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1) will host the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs (2-2) to conclude Week 5 on Monday, Oct. 6, at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida.
The start time has the game scheduled to kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET with the TV channel schedule on a variety of ESPN-related networks, including ABC and ESPN and streaming on Fubo (free trial).
Despite coming in as the visiting team with the worse overall record, the Chiefs enter the game as the favorite, looking to enter a three-way tie for first place in the AFC West with the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos.
This is the second week in a row that Monday Night Football features a team that will face the Lions on a short week in their following game. The Cincinnati Bengals lost to the Lions 37-24 on Sunday, Oct. 5, six days after their Monday Night Football loss to the Denver Broncos. The Chiefs hope to avoid a similar fate, both in their Monday performance and their subsequent game at home against the Lions on Sunday, Oct. 12.
