Michigan State football is back at Spartan Stadium today for the first time since Sept. 13.
The Spartans will host suddenly-surging UCLA for a noon kickoff on Big Ten Network, the first game at noon all year for MSU as fans rejoice a non-night game.

Michigan State is coming off back-to-back tough losses in which they had chances to win both games against USC and Nebraska but fell apart in different facets at different times. Against USC, the Spartans couldn’t get a stop all night long while the offense and specials teams played fairly well. Then vs. Nebraska, it was the complete opposite, as the offense stalled all afternoon and the special teams units made gaffe after gaffe while the defense held its own.
Can the Spartans put all three parts of the game together against UCLA?
The Bruins started the season 0-4 but pulled off the upset of the season last week in the Rose Bowl, beating Penn State under interim coach Tim Skipper and new play-caller Jerry Neuheisel.
Despite the teams coming into the game heading in opposite directions, the Spartans are still pretty big favorites.

And the Spartans’ defense continues its swarming effect, not allowing the elusive UCLA quarterback to have similar success as he did against Penn State. The pick: MSU 34, UCLA 21.
