Michigan State basketball dismantled East Carolina on Tuesday afternoon, 89-56, earning a victory in the first of two games in the Fort Myers Tip-Off.
In the game, the Spartans were led by a career high performance from Divine Ugochukwu, who scored 16 points. Jaxon Kohler was also his normal self, also scoring 16 points.
After the game, joining Tom Izzo, the two Spartans spoke to the media about their performances and the win as a whole. Ugochukwu specifically talked about the confidence a game like this can give him, as he feels he has been underperforming to this point in the season.
Following the players, Izzo spoke to the media where he touched on a bunch of things, from this game itself, to the development of Jeremy Fears, and what lies ahead when the Spartans play North Carolina. He even threw in a quote about these early season events being a good thing for the sport.
