Sept. 5-13: Everything you need to know about the 2025 Allegan County Fair

It’s almost time for the Allegan County Fair, complete with concerts, livestock shows, carnival rides, entertainment, food and more.

Fair Week is Sept. 5-13, with different events and activities daily. Gates open at 8 a.m. — with the exception of opening day, when gates open at 1 p.m. The exhibit buildings are open 11 a.m.-10 p.m.

How much is admission to the Allegan County Fair?

General admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children in or above first grade, and free for youngsters. The cost for parking is $5.  

What are the grandstand main events in 2025?

Each night of the fair will feature a headline event at the grandstands, most requiring a ticket. Ticket prices vary by event and can be purchased at allegancountyfair.com. Admission to watch the parade from the grandstands is free.

There will also be free daily shows by the Pork Chop Revue in the Community Area.

Opening Day (Sept. 5)

1 p.m. – Gates open (some animal showings begin at 8 a.m.)

2 p.m. – Youth and open class sheep shows

3 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $35)

What’s happening Sept. 6 at the Allegan County Fair?

8 a.m. – Gates open

9 a.m. – Animal showings of open class poultry and youth beef

12 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $35)

2 p.m. – The first round of Show Us Your Talent begins in the Youth Building

3 p.m. – Animal showings of the youth dairy starter and dairy steer

What’s happening Sept. 7 at the Allegan County Fair?

8 a.m. – Gates open

12 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $35)

1 p.m. – Youth poultry and water fowl show

1-3 p.m. – Free food sampling during A Taste of the Fair

2 p.m. – The second round of Show Us Your Talent begins in the Youth Building

What’s happening Sept. 8 at the Allegan County Fair?

8 a.m. – Gates open (admission is $20 per carload, including parking)

12 p.m. – Free harness horse racing at the grandstands

3 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $30 or each ride is $3)

What’s happening Sept. 9 at the Allegan County Fair?

8 a.m. – Gates open (seniors receive $5 admission before 12 p.m.)

8 a.m.-1 p.m. – Breakfast and programming for seniors at the Hilltop Tent

12 p.m. – Free harness horse racing at the grandstands

3 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $30)

What’s happening Sept. 10 at the Allegan County Fair?

8 a.m. – Gates open (admission is $5 for ladies)

8 a.m. – Related program at the Hilltop Tent

10 a.m. – Youth livestock auction in the Weldon Rumery Arena

3 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $30)

What’s happening Sept. 11 at the Allegan County Fair?

8 a.m. – Gates open (all attendees with military confirmation receive free parking and admission)

3 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $30)

5 p.m. – Dog show in the Hilltop Tent

6 p.m. – Semifinals for Show Us Your Talent in the Youth Building

What’s happening Sept. 12 at the Allegan County Fair?

8 a.m. – Gates open

3 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $35)

6 p.m. – Finals of Show Us Your Talent in the Youth Building

6 p.m. – Youth top showman orientation in the Weldon Rumery Arena

What’s happening Sept. 13 at the Allegan County Fair?

8 a.m. – Gates open

12 p.m. – Carnival rides open (a full-day pass is $35)

3 p.m. – Youth all-around showmanship contest in the Weldon Rumery Arena
