Road construction alert: I-96 ramp to MLK to be closed for three weeks

LANSING — Ramp closures are planned at the Interstate 96/M-99 interchange beginning Oct. 13, with the westbound exit set to close for about three weeks.

Exit 101 (WB I-96 to Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, or M-99) will be closed from 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15, to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, the Michigan Department of Transportation said. Drivers will be detoured west on I-96 to Lansing Road and back to MLK on eastbound I-96.

Drivers also should be aware that the on ramp to westbound I-96 and the off ramp from eastbound I-96 at the interchange are expected to be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 13, MDOT said on its MiDrive map.
