Michigan State vs. North Carolina: Broadcast info, prediction for Thursday

Michigan State basketball will be playing a big-time game while you sit down for Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.

The Spartans will wrap-up their two-game trip to Fort Myers, Fla. with a marquee matchup against North Carolina on Thursday evening. Michigan State and North Carolina both come into this game with perfect unbeaten records and looking to pick up a notable tournament resume building winning in this neutral court matchup.

Michigan State is 6-0 on the year, with notable wins already over Arkansas and Kentucky earlier this month. The Spartans made easy work of East Carolina for the 30-plus point win in their first game of the Fort Myers Tip-Off Classic on Tuesday.

North Carolina is also 6-0 on the season, with the Tar Heels boasting an impressive win over Kansas a few weeks ago. North Carolina needed a strong finish to get by a solid St. Bonaventure team in their first game of this event on Tuesday.

Prepare for this neutral site game by checking out the television info and my game prediction below:

Game Prediction

Prediction: Michigan State 77, North Carolina 73

The Spartans are starting to put together some more consistent scoring, and a big part of that is the improved shooting from outside (above 40% in two their last three games). But, I’m weary we are going to see an off night from behind the arc on Thanksgiving since Michigan State has struggled to have good shooting performances in back-to-back games. With that being said, I still think Michigan State at full strength has a slight edge over North Carolina with them missing guard Seth Trimble.
