In what is going to be the least surprising news of the week, Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 12.
As if there was any doubt. Gibbs rushed for 219 yards, added 45 yards on 11 catches and recorded a hat trick with three touchdowns, including what became the game-winning 69-yard touchdown in overtime as the Lions defeated the New York Giants 34-27.
Gibbs scores his second win of the award in three weeks. He was also recognized in Week 10 after rushing for 142 yards and scoring three total touchdowns against the Washington Commanders.
Gibbs was also named the FedEx Ground Player of the Week for Week 12.
