Gospel singer (and Detroit native) CeCe Winans will perform the national anthem before the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving game against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Nov. 27.
Winans has won 17 Grammy Awards, including two earlier this year for best gospel album, with her record “More Than This,” and best contemporary Christian music performance for “That’s My King”.
For the first time, the Lions will partner with Feeding America “and invite people watching at home to make a monetary donation to help ensure everyone has access to the food they need to gather around full tables this holiday season,” the Lions announced in a news release.
