Michigan State football went on the road to Iowa City on Saturday, looking to find a way to win a Big Ten game against Iowa. Unfortunately for the Spartans, their effort fell short, and Michigan State lost 20-17 to the Hawkeyes.
Alessio Milivojevic made his third career start in the game, and he battled once again. Finishing 25-for-42 with 255 yards and two touchdowns, Milivojevic was a shot in the arm to the offense in this game.
Unfortunately, the offense couldn’t make enough plays late in the game, and it fell just short in closing this one out.
“It hurts. We fought as a team. We have another week. We are going to play.”
Milivojevic also gave his praise to Smith and the staff for taking a chance on him, and what they have done for his career to this point.
“Jonathan Smith is a great coach, great leader. I am grateful for him taking a chance on me.”
