Every November, thousands of riders, spectators, and adventurers travel to northern Michigan for the famed Iceman Cometh Challenge! This event is a 30-mile off-road bike race over the gorgeous, mountainous routes between Kalkaska and Traverse City. The Iceman is the largest point-to-point mountain bike race in the USA. It celebrates endurance, camaraderie, and Michigan’s love of the outdoors, attracting both elite competitors and amateur riders. From icy singletrack to cheering crowds at the Timber Ridge Resort finish line, the Iceman is more than just a race for Midwest cyclists; it’s a rite of passage.
