A local neighborhood sports bar has a super sweet deal for customers on what’s often called Taco Tuesday, and Aug. 4 is also primary election day in Michigan.

At 20428 Ecorse Road in Taylor, neighborhood sports bar Big League Brews is celebrating its sweet 16 birthday on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Owned by Matt Taylor since 2010, the special celebrates the bar’s 16 years with 16-cent tacos. On Tuesdays, BLB’s tacos are normally $1, offered throughout the bar from 7 a.m. – 2 a.m.

Customers can order hard-shell or soft-flour tortilla tacos. Owner Matt Taylor said tacos include its house-seasoned ground beef, lettuce, cheese, and taco sauce.

In 2025, Taylor said tacos were 15 cents, and they sold 1,592 for the bar’s 15th birthday. Taylor’s plans for November’s election at Big League Brews include a free taco if you vote.

This Tuesday will also feature DJ Xxxtreme, along with a Millennial Madness set list from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Big League Brews is known for its big menu that includes smoked wings or boneless wings along with a big selection of burgers and sandwiches. The wings are served naked (no sauce) or with a choice of nearly a dozen sauces.
