National media reacts as Michigan basketball steamrolls Gonzaga

Three days in Las Vegas, and for Dusty May and Michigan basketball, there was no hangover. For the Wolverines’ opponents, however, that’s a different story.

The Players Era Championship has concluded with not only the maize and blue being crowned the winner (and thus the players sharing a generous NIL pot of money as the victors), but it was a national showcase for why the Wolverines should be the No. 1 team in the country. Not only did Michigan blow out a good San Diego State team on Monday night, it got revenge over the (No. 21) Auburn team that ousted it from the NCAA Tournament last year. But Wednesday was the kicker, as the Wolverines demolished No. 1 Gonzaga, 101-61. Michigan won by 40, 30, and then 40 again in the three games.
