St. Clair County Homeland Security and the National Weather Service will be hosting weather spotter training classes. The classes are free and will be offered on April 23rd from 7-9 p.m at the St. Clair County Administration Building, 200 Grand River, Port Huron. An advanced and beginning class will be offered.
Local residents will be taught techniques on identifying storms, reporting weather events, measuring rain and hail and about the effects of storms. This course is mandatory to become an active member of the county Weather Spotter Program.
