General George S. Patton
There are a lot of different varying opinions on what type of man General George S. Patton was, but few would deny that America might never have had a more brilliant military mind. He was a tough man who didn’t confuse politics with war(That would get him in trouble from time to time) He was a man who demanded everything from himself, and those serving under him. While Patton is best known for his service in World War II, it was far from his first military experience. Patton actually began his service in 1909 and would go on to serve in World War I quickly making the rank of Captain and he would go on to become a Colonel before the war was over. Patton continued serving his country in the interwar years before his well-decorated command in World War II.

Tragically, Patton was killed in Germany shortly after the War in December of 1945. He died from complications of what was ruled to be an accident after being hit by a vehicle. Some debate has been made about if the accident was actually an assassination attempt, but nothing was ever proven.
