On September 17 of 1965, the pilot episode, “The Informer,” was shown. The two new captives entering Stalag 13—referred to in this episode as Camp 13—were Lieutenant Carter, who escaped into the camp, and Wagner, who was actually a Nazi spy acting as an Allied prisoner. Wagner makes an attempt to reveal Hogan’s operation to General Burkhalter, but Hogan and his men are able to discredit the spy. The spy is dispatched to the Russian front as a result of his absurd assertions.
