Two seriously injured in St. Clair County crash

Rescue crews responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash in Kimball Township early Monday morning that resulted in serious injuries.

According to investigators, the crash involved a pickup truck and an SUV at the intersection of Smiths Creek and Wadhams roads shortly after 7 a.m.

Two occupants of the vehicles sustained critical injuries.

The St. Clair County Sheriff Department said one occupant was ejected, while another was pinned in the wreckage.

Smiths Creek Road, near the intersection of Wadhams was closed for several hours to allow for further investigation. Kimball Township Fire Department and Tri-Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
