Deputies’ initial investigation found that a Chevrolet Aveo driven by a 76-year-old Croswell woman was westbound on Peck Rd when it pulled off the side of the road and did a U-Turn in front of a westbound Honda Odyssey driven by a 41-year-old Applegate woman.
Deputies say the Applegate woman was unable to avoid striking the Croswell woman.
The Croswell woman and her 11-year-old passenger were both injured and both were transported to McKenzie Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The Applegate woman was not injured.
The accident remains under investigation.
