Spain posts current account surplus of 5.63 billion euros in August

(Reuters) – Spain posted a current account surplus of 5.63 billion euros ($6.12 billion) in August, compared to a surplus of 5.17 billion euros in the same month a year earlier, the Bank of Spain said on Thursday.

That compared to a surplus of 5.79 billion euros in July, according to the central bank.

($1 = 0.9202 euros)
