Getting involved in your community by volunteering, joining a club and meeting new people, or even learning a new hobby is a big part of living a healthy lifestyle.

Check out these groups and events for all ages hosted locally by Colonial Woods Missionary Church.

LADIES: THE 11th annual Lydia Prayer Tea is coming up at Colonial Woods Missionary Church on Saturday, May 4th from 11:30-1:30. The next opportunity to buy tickets will be Sunday, April 28th at the church. The ticket price is $7.00.

It will be a great time to have wonderful food and tea, to be waited on, and to listen to our speaker Trish Swenson, music by Hannah Schwalm and prayer and sharing about miracles.
 
 
The Men’s Ministry is sponsoring: The Blue Water Feed the World Project on Saturday, April 27th from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm at Port Huron High School. There are two shifts 8am-10:30am and 10:00am to 12:30pm. Call the church to volunteer 984-5571.

We have a college-age and young adult community group that meets every Sunday, 6:00-8: 00 pm at Jayson and Kaitlyn Tuckey’s house. Join us for food and friends. Follow us on FB at CW College Age and Young Adult or contact jon@colonialwoodsmc.com
 
 
 
Attention Knitter and Crocheters this is a group for you! Come and join in and enjoy the fellowship.
This group meets every Wednesday morning from 9:30-11: 30 am. Everyone is welcome from beginner to experienced. They help out each other and are lead by Pat Wilton. They have been meeting for about 4 years.
 
 
Quilting in the Woods (no, not literally) every Tuesday night from 5-7: 00 pm. Beginner and experienced quilters. We work on our own quilts other than on the 3rd Tuesday we make “Comfort Quilts” with materials that have been donated.
These quilts we give to others who may have health issues to keep them warm and cozy. With any questions, you can call 300-1412.

Sharyl Lasky was born in the Port Huron-Marysville area and has lived there her entire life. She graduated from Port Huron High School and Port Huron Junior College. Working in a family owned business for 27 years she gained experience in accounting and sales. She has attended Colonial Woods Missionary Church since 1988. She is currently involved in the choir, a quilting group, plus a home Bible study. At one time she was, for many years, on the Women’s Ministry committee. She is blessed to be a mom to two sons and Mema to three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
