On September 11th, 2001, four-passenger airlines were hijacked by terrorists of the Islamic group, al-Qaeda. Two of the airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center Complex, one into the Pentagon, and one in a field in Pennsylvania. United Airlines Flight 93, the plane that crashed in the field, was believed to be headed for the Capitol.
This tragic date was the most deadly terrorist attack in US history.
For a few moments, millions across the nation gathered around their television sets hearing the horrific news, seeing scenes of the towers collapsing and the people of New York in a state of shock.

In 2020, 19 years later, we cannot shake the thoughts of 9/11 and remember the people who lost their lives, including the 343 firefighters and 72 law enforcement officers.
