The following is a letter from Sandusky Superintendent Paul Flynn regarding changes to Sandusky high school’s educational environment, due to new State mandates:
Dear Sandusky Community Schools Family,
Yesterday, the Governor and the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services have
issued new requirements and restrictions in an effort to slow the spread of the rising COVID-19
cases across the state.
These dramatic increases have impacted communities in our country, state,
and our schools.

This order requires that all HIGH SCHOOLS (grades 9-12) close for face to face instruction for
the next three weeks beginning Wednesday, November 18th.
Students and teachers are preparing today and tomorrow for this change to virtual instruction and assignments. Our students and
teachers have been practicing use of the online platform in the classroom, and we are confident this will help make a smooth transition.
All other grades (k-8) will continue face to face instruction during this time. Transportation will continue, as well as food services for these students.
All athletic practices and contests at all levels are cancelled until further notice. Extra curricular activities are also cancelled.
Meals will be available for all virtual students via pick up at the elementary school. Parents should be receiving an email with a link to a form to sign up for meals.
The first pick up will be Thursday, November 19. Meals will be brought out to vehicles in the pick up loop by the cafeteria door from 12:30 to 1:00. All other pick up days will be Tuesdays.
We appreciate the continued support and understanding from the parents through this time of ever changing circumstances.
We remain committed to doing our best to provide quality educational opportunity to our students, while keeping our students and staff as safe as possible.
If you have any questions regarding the 9-12 virtual instruction, please contact the building principal.
Paul R. Flynn
