It was yet another, hard fought Blue Water Area Conference battle.
The Richmond High School boys basketball team is more than accustomed to those these days.
On Friday, Richmond (3-2, 8-3) defeated Almont 56-45 to earn its third BWAC victory of the season behind a game-high 17 points from Justin Schweiger.

Brandon Schorman added 10 points for Richmond and Matt Bartolomucci added seven points in the victory.
“This was actually one of our better efforts of the season,” Richmond coach Josh Presnell said of the win.
“In terms of our effort, it was one of our better efforts. The key for us is continuing to build on it every day in practice.”
Richmond led 33-21 at halftime, but Almont came out in the third quarter with a run to close the gap into single digits.
By the time the third quarter was over, Almont had pulled within 37-31, and Richmond would need a run of its own to put Almont away.
Part of that came from behind Schweiger’s effort. His 3-point play with just over a minute remaining in the game finally put Almont out of reach.
