Croswell-Lexington (772.92) was the runner-up on the night, followed by Pontiac Notre Dame Prep (772.68) and Harper Woods Chandler Park (731.92).
All four teams would qualify for next week’s regional round in Novi.
“We just have to focus on us,” Richmond assistant coach Lauren Riggs said. “It’s super exciting to be back and trying to win a state championship title again. We feel super Blessed to have a great team with great coaches and great girls. Not everyone gets to experience this.
“If we keep focusing on ourselves and being better than the day before I think we will get the outcome we want.”
Now Richmond will get that opportunity over the next week as it prepares for the regional round.
