The Poet’s Corner – “FEAR” by John Yurgens

By Author, John Yurgens

We fear those things we do not know or understand

Clinging to the comfortable, the safe,

Don’t cast me aside

Because of your assumptions

Of my faith

If my words offend you

Let us sit together

to clarify my intended meaning

helping both to understand the other

We may well see

We have more in common

Then the things that separate us

A mother, Father

Sister, Brother

It’s hard to hate someone

After sharing time, space, thoughts and maybe feelings

You know not of my journey

Nor I of yours

Let us accept

Allah, God, Jehovah

Led us on different paths

Bringing us to this point

to share knowledge and wisdom

making time to know

Each other. as we are

ALL CHILDREN OF ALLAH, GOD, JEHOVAH.
