Peck woman dies in hit and run accident

(ELK TOWNSHIP) – Michigan State Police Troopers areseeking the public’s help in an incident that took place in Peck Sunday afternoon.

MSP Troopers responded to downtown Peck Sunday around 3:18 p.m. in the area of Elk and Lapeer Streets after a 911 call was made reporting an elderly woman in the roadway.

Troopers found 77-year-old May Ann Longuski critically injured and determined she had been struck by a vehicle.

Longuski was transported to a local hospital where she later passed away.

The investigation into this incident continues and Troopers say if anyone witnessed this incident, they are asked to contact Troopers at the Caro Post.
